How to use them
Run the quiz with a scorecard. Each person answers about the other, and the friend being described decides whether the answer counts. Partial credit debates are half the fun.
Take the heart-to-heart section seriously. A best friend is often the one person we never check in with properly, because we assume everything is fine. One honest question can surface something that has been sitting there for months.
Film the quiz, or at least write the answers down. Doing it again a year later shows how much has changed, and it becomes the kind of tradition you will both look forward to.
Questions people ask
Specific questions with a definite answer work best: their most-used phrase, their diner order, their first crush, the song that gets them dancing. Vague questions lead to arguments about what counts as right.
You can be fully yourself with them, you show up for each other in hard moments and the friendship survives distance and silence. The heart-to-heart questions on this page are a good way to test that depth.
Ask about the things best friends often avoid: a time you let them down, what they are going through that you might not know, what they wish you were more involved in.
